Bailey was a 5-year-old Maltese who was taken to a veterinary clinic in Kentucky for routine grooming. The clinic called her owner and said that Bailey had collapsed groomer admitted to tapping Bailey on the head with a comb, and the dog was unable to stand for four days after the incident. Bailey had to relearn basic activities such as eating, walking, using the bathroom, and playing. Her owners say she is not the same dog.
Charlotte was an 8-year-old cocker spaniel who went to a regular grooming session in Kentucky at a well-known national pet store chain. When the owner picked Charlotte up, she was unable to use her back legs and was panting for air. Charlotte suffered a herniated/ruptured disc to her back and had to undergo surgery. As a result, Charlotte has limited movement of her back legs and no longer has control of her bladder or bowels. Seeing her dog suffer has been heartbreaking for the owner.
Duke was a 5-year-old toy poodle who was taken to a veterinary clinic in Kentucky for routine grooming. The groomer claimed he grabbed Duke to correct his behavior and that Duke passed out and died shortly thereafter. Duke was dearly loved and will always be missed.
